Kasadyahan sa Capiz visits at Culajao
Mangrove Eco-Park is a quiet place for refreshing and enriching experience with
nature. The first mangrove echo park located at Barangay Culajao, Roxas City
the capital of the province of Capiz. It is a project of the City Government of
Roxas City in partnership with the Katunggan sa Culajao Salbaron Association
(KACUSA) Inc. and the PEWS fellows program in Marine conservation. Mangrove
Eco-Park in Roxas City Capiz has the distinction of being a community protected
mangrove reserve and the only one with in the city Kasadyahan sa Capiz. It stretches within 4.69
hectares and home to diverse marine and mangrove species from the road take a
short walk under the shed of mangrove along the way to get to the reception

inter connected with at least 100 meter of thrilling pedestrian suspension bridges.
the Mangrove Eco-Park provides different size of native nipa huts namely: Huts
(Pagatpat) Huts (Api-api) and Huts (Bakhaw) and can host at most 20
persons per native nipa huts, which could accommodate 1 - 2 persons depending
in the price rates; it is purely made up of plain bamboo raft and nipa huts for
roofing where you can feel and enjoy your stay living with nature. Best for
educational tour, family outings and fellowships.
Culajao Mangrove Eco Park is a
15-20 minutes ride away from Roxas City Plaza Kasadyahan sa Capiz, and from the
park designated parking area, the group proceeded to the
station and boded the floating bamboo ralf that
can accommodated 30 person. Manually maneuvered by crews though
the aid of the long bamboo the trip to the main station of the Eco park around
25-30 minutes.There was an orientation on how the Eco park was conceptualized
and transformed into reality by members of the Katunggan sa Culajao
Salbaron association (KACUSA).And also the floating bamboo ralf ride along
the river to get closer look of the 19 species of mangrove that serve as
habitat for the wide variety of fishes crustaceans, shells,insect
etc,and birds species flying around the catching fish.
